My name is Justin T. Brown and welcome to my e-Portfolio. The focus of this e-Portfolio is on my General Psychology (PSY-166) course from the Spring 2014 semester.
When Nicole, my collaborative writing partner and writing fellow, and I started discussing the e-Porfolio and its overall guiding question, I started talking about the historical context of PSY 166: how in the past, it had typically been a very lecture-oriented, content-heavy class, perhaps with small activities scattered throughout, as opposed to where it is today. To help demonstrate the contrast, I included below a syllabus and course schedule from the Fall 2013 semester to illustrate how far I've come with this course. Since the WAC program is part of what helped facilitate these changes, the question that guides my ePortfolio is:
"How can I use writing as both a learning and a critical thinking development tool in a traditional lecture-oriented and non-writing intensive course?"
